dc.description.abstract	In this work we present some results on the reliability of an optical sensor for assessing the filling status of recycling point waste containers. The sensor system tested is based on a line-of-view infrared system, and was tested against contamination by residues still on the recycled materials. We present in this work the statistical impairment of the system due to dirt in the sensor interface.	en
