dc.description.abstract This paper presents a case study of the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT's) as part of the learning methodology supported by computer simulation projects illumination, in the unit of Electrical Installations and Lighting Engineering of Master in Building Services Engineering taught in 1st semester of the 1st Year, Department of Electrical Engineering, Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Coimbra. The aim was to promote working groups the opportunity to work and simulate real problems, pointing at the implementation of two projects, on interior lighting, using the luminotécnic software DIALUX 4.8. This study indicates the effectiveness of problem based learning (PBL) in order to highlight the critical spirit at work, focusing on organizational skills, with the purpose of obtaining the best lighting solutions for the projects implemented. en
